CHANGING LIVES

The Julie Foudy Leadership Foundation is committed to changing the lives of girls and young women around the world. We are proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish in just a short time, due to the generous support of our existing corporate sponsors and individual benefactors. Our past success has encouraged us to reach even further. With your help, the Foundation will have the ability to connect with more deserving girls and young women.

When children are very small we urge them to “use their words,” and we ask them to rely on their language abilities throughout their life. However, we do not always provide them with the tools to communicate effectively.

Children often have plenty of words, but they lack the strength and self worth to use those words powerfully and in a positive manner. The unique leadership training implemented at the Julie Foudy & espnW Sports Leadership Academy focuses specifically on this issue, by focusing on vocal, visual, and physical communication.

The Foundation is enthusiastic about the sense of accomplishment and pride the Academy participants feel upon leaving the week long experience. It is for this reason the Foundation hopes to continue its success in identifying our next female leaders who have the potential to positively impact their communities.

As you read our inspirational stories and learn more about the Foundation, we hope that you will join us in our efforts to empower girls and young women.
